Travel Consultant

About the role

As a Travel Consultant for Amex GBT, you will create and manage travel arrangements for moderately complex accounts, ensuring each reservation aligns with client standards and preferences. You will act as a trusted advisor, offering insightful recommendations to enhance the traveler experience.

Key responsibilities

• Create and complete travel bookings (car, hotel, air, rail) for moderately complex itineraries.
• Ensure reservations meet client standards and preferences.
• Provide informed recommendations to improve traveler experience.
• Resolve moderately complex issues, including multi‑destination trips, ticket exchanges, and complex fares.
• Handle both routine and non‑routine tasks, and support department projects such as clean‑up, startup, or closeout activities.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in the travel industry or strong customer‑service background.
• Experience in travel support roles is preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English; a second language is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good knowledge of the travel industry.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Sabre (GDS) preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
