Unpaid Backend / Full-Stack Developer Internship for AI SaaS

About the role

We are looking for a motivated student to join our early‑stage startup as a Backend / Full‑Stack Developer intern. You will work remotely on Occibo, an AI‑assisted children’s book creation platform, gaining hands‑on experience building a real SaaS product.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve backend APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.
• Work with Supabase for database, authentication, and data management.
• Implement file storage workflows with Cloudflare R2.
• Help orchestrate AI workflows for illustration, layout, and export.
• Set up queue‑based processing using Redis and BullMQ.
• Integrate AI image‑generation tools such as ComfyUI.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
• Debug, test, and enhance existing services.
• Support selected frontend or full‑stack tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Hands‑on knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Understanding of backend development, APIs, databases, and Git.
• Interest in early‑stage AI and SaaS product development.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup.
• Reliable, curious, and proactive attitude.
