Valuation Intern – Finance (Berlin)

About the role

Join the Valuation team within Rocket Internet’s Finance department in Berlin as a Valuation Intern. You will work in a diverse, international environment, supporting the analysis and valuation of new ventures and portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business plans, growth opportunities and financial statements of emerging startups.
• Assist in the valuation of portfolio companies using methods such as Discounted Cash Flow, Option Pricing and Waterfall models.
• Conduct competitive analysis and market research across private and public markets.
• Support accounting and reporting activities for the holding company.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a university program related to Business, Finance or a similar field.
• First experience in consulting, corporate finance, transaction services or a high‑growth startup is a plus.
• Strong analytical, structured thinking and a hands‑on mentality.
• Dynamic work style, high goal orientation and quick learning ability.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS‑Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with financial modelling techniques (DCF, option pricing, waterfall models).
