Working Student Backend Software Engineer

About the role

As a Working Student in Backend Engineering you will join Avelios' development team and gain hands‑on experience building large‑scale, mission‑critical software for healthcare. You will work side‑by‑side with experienced engineers, contributing to the digital infrastructure that supports real‑world clinical care.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the core development team on real product features.
• Design, test, deploy, and maintain backend (or frontend) components of Avelios services.
• Learn to build and maintain large‑scale clinical software infrastructure.
• Apply modern technologies in a high‑impact healthcare setting.
• Contribute ideas to improve performance, usability, and user experience.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in Informatics, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.
• Passion for learning new technologies and a solution‑oriented mindset.
• Fluency in German and/or English.

Required skills

• Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Java, C++, Rust.
• Demonstrated coding experience (e.g., GitHub contributions) is a plus.
