Working Student – eCommerce Research

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Working Student to join our Data team and support research and quality assurance activities in the e‑commerce sector. You will help collect, verify and enrich data on online retailers, gaining hands‑on experience in market intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on e‑commerce companies and their business models.
• Systematically collect data on online store characteristics such as payment and delivery methods.
• Perform open‑desk research and prepare key figures for our database.
• Assist in ensuring data accuracy and high‑quality output.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a German university (Economics, Social Sciences, Politics, Sociology, Psychology or similar) with at least one year until graduation.
• Independent, diligent and reliable work style.
• Basic understanding of e‑commerce and economic contexts.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.
• Availability of 15‑20 hours per week, including 1‑2 days on site.

Required skills

• Practical experience with MS Excel (preferred).
