Working Student in Mechanical Engineering (19 h/week)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a motivated working student to join the Advanced Projects team in Immenstaad. You will support the design, manufacturing, and testing of equipment for space‑related projects while balancing your studies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop test equipment using CAD systems.
• Manufacture and assemble test benches and related hardware.
• Assist with laboratory experiments on satellite structures, CFRP coating, laser treatment, and soldering technologies.
• Maintain the laboratory, including inventory management and equipment calibration.
• Prepare engineering documentation for project development.

Required profile

• Enrolled full‑time in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in space technologies.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of CAD software for design purposes.
