Working Student – Indirect Tax (Hybrid, Germany)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated working student to join our VAT team in Berlin. The role offers hands‑on experience in indirect tax processes, supporting the preparation of VAT returns, recapitulative statements, Intrastat filings and related accounting mappings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate VAT returns and related reports.
• Assist with Intrastat declarations and recapitulative statements.
• Map tax data to accounting entries in SAP.
• Support analysis and evaluation of existing business processes.
• Collaborate with Finance, Master Data and Sales units.

Required profile

• Enrolled in an economics‑related study program.
• Basic knowledge of VAT and introductory experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong interest in developing tax expertise step by step.
• Good communication skills in English; additional European language is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to create presentations with PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with SAP (desired).
