Working Student – Paints & Coatings (18 hrs/week)

About the role

Airbus Operations GmbH is looking for a working student to join its Engineering Surface Technology team in Bremen. You will support the Paints & Coatings team, contributing to the development of sustainable aerospace paint solutions while working approximately 18 hours per week for a 12‑month period.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in research projects focused on advanced paint and coating technologies.
• Assist in developing and testing new chemistry for aircraft paint applications.
• Support the Surface Technology and Fire Safety Department with laboratory and analytical tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to benchmark and deploy innovative coating solutions.
• Prepare documentation and reports for ongoing projects and potential final thesis work.

Required profile

• Enrolled university student in a relevant field (e.g., Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering).
• Self‑motivated team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Flexible and initiative‑driven attitude, able to balance studies with work commitments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of paint and coating technologies.
• Familiarity with laboratory testing and material characterization methods.
