Working Student – Quality Assurance (Software Testing)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Working Student to join our Quality Assurance team. You will support the engineering group by ensuring the reliability of our software releases through hands‑on testing and close collaboration with project managers and developers.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review and maintain test cases that reflect product changes and requirements.
• Execute manual smoke and regression tests in staging/pre‑production environments before each release.
• Document test results, generate test and bug reports, and log defects in Jira.
• Collaborate with PMs and engineers to clarify requirements, align expectations and facilitate smooth releases.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a German university studying Computer Science, Business Informatics, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Good understanding of software testing concepts and the software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Jira and basic experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Comfortable reading logs and basic error output for root‑cause analysis.
• Exposure to version‑control (Git) and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and available up to 20 hours per week for at least six months.
