Accountant – Finance Team (Hamburg Region)

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to join our fast‑growing medical technology company in the Hamburg region. You will support critical financial operations, work closely with internal stakeholders, and help maintain accurate financial records in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Support and improve expense‑management processes and controls.
• Create, issue, and post customer invoices.
• Manage accounts receivable, monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment queries.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Act as a primary contact for employees regarding expense‑related questions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support day‑to‑day finance operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Accounting, Finance, Accounts Receivable or a similar finance function.
• Strong understanding of invoicing, receivables management, reconciliations and overall financial processes.
• Experience managing employee expenses is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams.
• Fluent German and English preferred.
