AI Data Engineer – Build Scalable Data Layer for AI-powered SAP Consulting

About the role

We are looking for an AI Data Engineer to design and build the core data layer that powers an AI‑driven SAP consulting platform. The role sits at the intersection of data engineering and machine learning, turning complex enterprise SAP data into structured, queryable knowledge that continuously improves model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable data layer that maps relationships across SAP projects, including configurations, outcomes and domain patterns.
• Own the metadata architecture, handling data labeling, linking, versioning and queryability.
• Develop robust pipelines to ingest SAP telemetry and consulting insights into structured datasets.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to provide high‑quality signals for model training and inference.
• Continuously refine data systems with each customer deployment, ensuring data integrity and usability.
• Architect solutions with a long‑term, scalable mindset rather than short‑term fixes.

Required profile

• Strong background in data engineering, including pipeline development, schema design and data modeling.
• Experience working with complex, semi‑structured enterprise data.
• Knowledge of graph‑based systems (knowledge graphs, graph databases) or relational modeling for complex domains.
• Systems‑level thinking with focus on architecture and scalability.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Berlin.
