Assistant Vice President – Internal Audit (Frankfurt)

About the role

Jefferies is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Internal Audit to join its Frankfurt team. The role will support the planning and execution of audit engagements across the firm, evaluating internal controls, identifying risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to high‑quality audit reports while promoting a culture of integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with Jefferies’ audit methodology, industry best practices, and applicable regulations.
• Develop audit scopes and work programs independently by identifying risks and related controls.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and identify weaknesses.
• Lead local audits and participate in global audits, including IT audits.
• Conduct walkthrough meetings and interviews with business stakeholders to understand processes.
• Prepare detailed workpapers, lead sheets, and documentation supporting audit conclusions.
• Assist in drafting audit reports and communicating results in clear business and technical language.
• Complete assignments within established timelines while meeting audit objectives and regulatory expectations.
