Backend Engineer - FinTech

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our AI‑driven trade platform that digitises industrial supply chains. You will own the backend infrastructure that processes payments, financial data, reconciliation and compliance‑critical workflows, ensuring precision, auditability and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services for payment processing, invoicing, reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Build robust, auditable data pipelines that guarantee accuracy and traceability across all financial operations.
• Develop and maintain integrations with payment gateways, banking APIs and financial data providers.
• Enforce data‑integrity standards, implementing idempotency, retry logic and failure handling for financial flows.
• Collaborate with compliance and product teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to fraud‑detection logic, rate limiting and access‑control mechanisms.
• Own incidents end‑to‑end, conduct post‑mortems and drive reliability improvements.

Required profile

• 5‑7+ years of backend engineering experience with exposure to FinTech, payments or financial data systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and deep understanding of transactional systems and data consistency.
• Experience building scalable, fault‑tolerant services in cloud environments.
