Business Development Manager – DACH Region

About the role

ETAP is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the expansion of its electrical design software across the DACH region. Based in Viernheim, Germany, you will work in a hybrid setting, combining onsite client engagements with remote collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business development and sales of ETAP design software throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
• Deliver compelling product presentations online, on‑site, and at industry events.
• Acquire new customers while nurturing existing client relationships.
• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline and develop strategic sales plans.
• Collaborate with product managers, Schneider Electric & AVEVA teams, and coordinate training seminars.

Required profile

• Degree in electrical, power engineering, or automation technology.
• Proven experience in technical sales within the electrical engineering industry.
• Track record of solution sales and familiarity with power system engineering.
• Fluent in English and German with strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Class B driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using CRM systems.
