Criminal Law Specialist (m/f/diverse)

About the role

As a Criminal Law Specialist you will be a key pillar of our global compliance framework, ensuring legal certainty, integrity and trust across all business units worldwide. You will advise on criminal law matters, shape compliance policies and lead the management of confidential compliance cases.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the central expert on criminal law issues and provide business advice.
• Develop and continuously improve the global Compliance Management System with a focus on criminal law.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate them into practical compliance measures.
• Drive global compliance initiatives, including policies, training, communication and culture building.
• Support risk analysis, early‑detection mechanisms and maintain a strong global compliance network.
• Design, operate and continuously improve an independent, confidential compliance case management system.
• Assess, prioritize and assign incoming reports to investigators, oversee investigations and evaluate outcomes.
• Strengthen whistleblowing awareness through training and communication, prepare statistics and trend analyses.
• Define and enforce appropriate measures for confirmed violations and functionally lead the Compliance Case Management team worldwide.

Required profile

• Fully qualified lawyer or legal counsel with relevant professional experience.
• Solid knowledge of applicable criminal laws, regulations and industry standards.
• Business‑fluent German and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Independent working style with strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office.
• Advanced Excel skills (Power BI experience is a plus).
