DevOps Engineer – Cloud Platform (Hybrid, Berlin)

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a fast‑growing European fintech that provides an API‑first investment infrastructure platform. Based in Berlin with a hybrid working model, you will own cloud infrastructure, platform reliability, security and developer enablement in an AWS‑native environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure, including EKS, IAM, RDS, S3 and networking.
• Operate and optimise Kubernetes/EKS clusters at scale.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD and Argo Workflows.
• Improve platform observability, monitoring and reliability using OpenTelemetry and DataDog.
• Provide internal tooling and developer platform support for engineering teams.
• Drive cloud security, IAM best practices and compliance in a regulated fintech environment.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and long‑term platform strategy.

Required profile

• Strong experience in DevOps, platform engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience operating production AWS environments at scale.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS in enterprise or cloud‑native settings.
• Background in fintech, SaaS, regulated or fast‑growth startup environments is a plus.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally in lean engineering teams.
