Director, Pan-European Robotics Initiative

About the role

Ignite Next is seeking a Director to lead its pan‑European open robotics initiative. You will build and manage a partner network spanning industrial primes, robotics scale‑ups, component suppliers, software platforms, universities and research institutions, while shaping the programme portfolio and external presence.

Key responsibilities

• Own and expand the partner network across all tiers of the European robotics value chain.
• Define and manage programmes covering technical enablement, commercial access, talent challenges and market intelligence.
• Represent the initiative at industry events, deliver thought leadership and secure senior engagements.
• Hire, lead and grow a small team, set goals, run cadence and manage the budget.
• Collaborate closely with Ignite Next leadership for strategic alignment.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in multi‑stakeholder, multi‑country deep‑tech projects with industry partner funding.
• Proven ability to build networks, secure commitments and run regular cadence.
• Hands‑on manager who can lead small teams while handling senior partner conversations and strategic positioning.
• Extensive network across European robotics, industrial automation and related research institutions.
