Equity Research Analyst – European Insurance Coverage

About the role

Deutsche Bank Research is seeking an Equity Research Analyst to cover European insurers. Reporting to the Head of Financials Research, you will support asset managers by developing investment theses, producing research reports, and communicating insights to internal and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse publicly available information to assess financial performance, strategy, and valuation of insurance companies.
• Formulate stock- and sector-level investment theses and assign Buy, Sell, or Hold ratings.
• Author research reports and present findings in meetings, roadshows, and client events.
• Maintain relationships with covered companies for channel checks and due‑diligence.
• Assist in IPO analysis and contribute to idea generation for clients.

Required profile

• Multi‑year equity research experience with deep knowledge of the European insurance sector.
• Proven track record of idea origination and commercial research delivery.
• Strong interpersonal skills for marketing ideas to institutional clients.
• Experience with IPOs is a plus.
• Fluent English; German language skills are beneficial.
