Export Compliance Officer

About the role

We are seeking an Export Compliance Officer to join our Legal & Compliance team in Bremen. You will be responsible for ensuring that all export activities comply with national and international regulations, supporting both the Corporate division and the broader OHB Group.

Key responsibilities

• Process and submit preliminary enquiries, individual and collective export licence applications.
• Identify training needs and participate in export control training programmes.
• Implement legal and internal export control requirements across the organization.
• Analyse existing processes for compliance with export control regulations and introduce necessary specifications.
• Create and maintain procedural instructions, manuals, and end‑user documents.
• Classify goods and documents according to DE/EU/US directives in collaboration with specialist departments.
• Review contracts for export control issues and determine licensing requirements for technology transfers.

Required profile

• Completed studies in engineering or a related technical field.
• Several years of experience in export control, including familiarity with EU, German, and US regulations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proactive attitude towards identifying and managing export control risks.
