Freelance Material Scientist (Python) – AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a material scientist with strong Python skills to design and validate engineering‑focused AI training problems. This freelance, project‑based position involves creating realistic material engineering scenarios that require computational solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design original material engineering problems that mimic real‑world workflows.
• Develop Python‑based tasks that involve numerical methods, iterative solutions, and optimization.
• Base problems on actual research challenges or practical engineering applications.
• Verify solutions using standard engineering libraries and provide clear documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Material Science or a related engineering field.
• At least 2 years of professional, research, or teaching experience in material engineering.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).

Required skills

• Python programming for numerical validation.
• Familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
• Experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, or Stata is a plus.
