Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Y/n is an interactive storytelling app used by over 100,000 teenagers daily. We are looking for a founding full‑stack engineer who will own the majority of the app’s surface and build our personalized recommendations infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core full‑stack features of the mobile and web applications.
• Build and scale the recommendation engine that powers personalized story suggestions.
• Collaborate closely with the co‑founder and design team to translate product ideas into reliable code.
• Take ownership of deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization of production services.

Required profile

• Experience building production‑grade infrastructure beyond simple static deployments.
• Background in a startup environment or significant side‑project experience.
• Passion for fandom, reading, and fan‑fiction communities.
• Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco or relocate there.
