Guest Service Officer – Hospitality Customer Support

About the role

The Guest Service Officer provides friendly, passionate, and committed support to hotel guests, ensuring their issues are resolved quickly and their stay is enjoyable. This role requires a strong focus on guest satisfaction, a sense of humor, and the ability to communicate clearly in English and potentially other languages.

Key responsibilities

• Listen actively to guest concerns and provide effective assistance.
• Handle cash transactions, understand US currency and exchange rates, and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate tactfully with guests, department heads, and shipboard employees to resolve problems.
• Operate basic office equipment such as telephones, computers, and copy machines.
• Maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in a customer‑contact role within the hotel or related industry.
• At least one year of cash‑handling experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Clear and distinct spoken English; ability to read and write English.
• Additional language skills (e.g., Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish) are essential.
