Head of Communications (all genders)

About the role

The Head of Communications will lead corporate, consumer and internal communication for ABOUT YOU during a 13‑month fixed‑term covering parental leave. Reporting to the Management Board, you will shape the overall communication strategy, ensure consistent brand narratives and support senior leadership in high‑visibility initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute holistic communication strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Provide strategic advisory and narrative development for the Management Board and Senior Leadership Team.
• Develop and manage integrated communication plans across all channels and stakeholder groups.
• Lead press and media relations, including planning and execution of high‑reach events such as fashion shows.
• Maintain and expand key stakeholder relationships, both internal and external.
• Handle crisis communications and guide the organization through critical situations.
• Ensure quality and consistency of all communication outputs, including press materials, internal formats and executive communications.

Required profile

• Several years of senior‑level experience in corporate communications covering corporate, consumer and internal domains.
• Proven track record advising C‑level executives and shaping corporate narratives.
• Extensive experience managing press relations and large‑scale international events.
• Strong ability to work in matrix organisations and influence demanding stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a keen sense for media dynamics and relevant topics.
• Business‑level fluency in German and English.
