Head of New Product Introduction

About the role

You will lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) launch team, driving the transition of new test and measurement instruments from development to full‑scale manufacturing. The role requires close collaboration with global NPI functions and internal manufacturing stakeholders to meet ramp‑up targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the site NPI team, aligning with the global NPI organization.
• Represent manufacturing on core NPD programs and communicate program status to senior management.
• Manage a team of New Product Development Managers and Specialists, ensuring timely execution of launch plans.
• Deliver NPI launch metrics such as cost, schedule, yield, and compliance.
• Coordinate development of manufacturing, test, and material plans and track product cost estimates.
• Secure tooling and test‑equipment capacity to support ramp‑up and steady‑state production.

Required profile

• Several years of leadership experience in an NPI environment, preferably within electronics or electrical engineering.
• Proven ability to make decisions in ambiguous, fast‑moving settings.
• Strong results orientation, accountability, and a track record of driving process improvements.
• Master’s degree in engineering (or equivalent) and 5+ years of electronics manufacturing experience.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 10% of the time.
• Fluent in English; strong German language skills are a plus.
