Head of Tax – Global Tax Strategy Leader

About the role

Agile Robots SE is looking for a Head of Tax to define and lead its global tax function. You will own the tax strategy, governance and compliance across all jurisdictions while advising the Executive Leadership Team on tax implications of international growth, M&A and operating‑model decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a global tax strategy aligned with the company’s expansion and business model.
• Provide strategic tax advice to the Executive Leadership Team on risks, opportunities and major decisions.
• Ensure full compliance with German and international tax laws, including corporate income tax, VAT and withholding taxes.
• Design and optimise the group’s tax structure, legal entities, IP ownership and cross‑border operating models.
• Lead transfer pricing strategy and governance in line with OECD standards.
• Monitor global tax developments (e.g., OECD Pillar Two, digital taxes) and shape the company’s response.
• Maintain a robust tax governance framework with policies, controls and risk management.
• Manage relationships with tax authorities, auditors and external advisors, leading audits and disputes.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Strategy and Business Leaders on expansion, supply‑chain and commercial projects.
• Drive tax aspects of M&A, including due diligence, structuring and integration.
• Lead tax transformation and digitalisation, integrating tax processes into ERP systems with a focus on automation and data quality.

Required profile

• University degree in Law, Business, Economics, Finance or Tax; German Tax Advisor qualification or equivalent is a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience in a Big Four firm and/or in‑house at an international, technology‑driven group.
• Proven leadership experience managing global tax functions.
• Strong business judgment and passion for technology and innovation.
