Investment Analyst – Private Equity Expert (Remote, $130/hr)

About the role

Mercor is seeking a contract Investment Analyst with private‑equity expertise to support AI research lab investments. This remote position offers $130 per hour and requires at least two years of experience in top‑tier private‑equity firms.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate financial models and provide insights to improve AI model outputs.
• Review market sizing and total addressable market (TAM) analyses for alignment with investment strategies.
• Develop comprehensive investment summaries and memos to guide decision‑making.
• Collaborate on Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM) creation and due‑diligence processes.
• Process NDA and legal documents efficiently to support deal flow.
• Source potential deals and deliver strategic recommendations for investment opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of private‑equity experience at leading firms.
• Proven expertise in financial modeling, market sizing, and TAM analysis.
• Strong ability to produce investment summaries, memos, and CIMs.
• Experience handling NDA/legal documentation and deal sourcing.
