Management Consulting Internship – Digital Innovation & Circular Economy

About the role

This 3‑month internship (starting September 2026) is part of BASF’s Management Consulting department, supporting the Innovation Excellence team. You will work on global projects focused on circular economy, sustainability and digitalisation, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Independently review and analyse complex value chains.
• Build ecosystems of internal and external stakeholders.
• Apply agile methods such as design‑thinking and rapid prototyping.
• Develop innovative business models and value propositions for products and services.

Required profile

• Enrolled Bachelor’s or Master’s student, preferably in an advanced semester.
• First work experience in a consulting or innovation environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and interest in sustainability and digital innovation.
• Fluent English; German knowledge is a plus.
• Good Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work in an international team.
• For candidates outside the EEA/Switzerland, a valid residence/work permit is required.
