Mechanical Site Manager (f/m/d)

About the role

The Mechanical Site Manager supports general site management during the construction phase, ensuring safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery of mechanical equipment and systems supplied by Siemens Energy and third‑party vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental, fire protection and occupational health & safety regulations.
• Induct, instruct, coordinate and monitor contractors, guaranteeing adherence to schedules, specifications, contractual requirements and permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Provide technical problem‑solving on site, clarifying contractor interfaces and coordinating with engineering teams.
• Execute acceptance inspections, testing and handover of contractor services, including joint inspections and deficiency resolution.
• Verify field erection and as‑built documentation for accuracy, maintain progress reports and daily construction logs.
• Report non‑conformances, prepare change documentation and support cost accounting, claim preparation and contract management.
• Track time schedules, control progress versus targets, manage site activities and additional works, and lead progress meetings with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant engineering field.
• Several years of experience managing mechanical construction on international power‑plant projects.
• Strong expertise in power‑plant systems and piping technology, familiar with international codes and standards.
• Solid knowledge of international health and safety regulations.
• Excellent written and spoken English; German is a plus.
