Primary Teacher – Bilingual International School

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Primary Teacher to join our bilingual International School in Dreieich, near Frankfurt. The role can be part‑time or full‑time and involves delivering the German‑English immersion curriculum, combining the Hessian education plan with the IB Primary Years Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and reflect on inquiry‑based lessons aligned with the IB PYP and Hessian curriculum requirements.
• Design engaging, inclusive learning experiences that foster curiosity, conceptual understanding and international‑mindedness.
• Apply differentiated teaching strategies, materials and assessments to meet diverse learner needs.
• Assess, monitor and document student progress in line with school policy and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with co‑teachers, teaching assistants and the PYP Coordinator on unit development and continuous improvement.
• Participate in playground duties, cover assignments and school community activities such as meetings, parent‑teacher conferences and excursions.

Required profile

• Certified primary teacher training with a degree in education or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in German at B2 level or higher.
• Commitment to the school’s bilingual, international ethos and to fostering independent, open‑minded learners.

Required skills

• German language proficiency (B2).
