Private Equity Associate

About the role

Our client, a leading middle‑market private equity firm in Frankfurt, is looking for a highly motivated Private Equity Associate. You will be involved in the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and evaluating opportunities to executing transactions and supporting portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess new investment opportunities across the DACH region and Europe.
• Build and maintain complex financial models, including LBO, valuation and operating models.
• Conduct detailed company and market analysis and prepare investment committee materials.
• Coordinate due‑diligence processes with advisors and management teams.
• Support negotiations, acquisitions, refinancing and exit transactions.
• Work closely with portfolio company management on strategic and operational initiatives.
• Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to value‑creation projects.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction services or a related financial advisory role.
• Strong academic background from a leading university.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluent English; German language skills are highly preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in investing and private equity.
