Product Engineer – API Platform for Social Media

About the role

We are building Postproxy, an API platform that enables seamless social‑media publishing across multiple networks. As a Product Engineer you will own end‑to‑end feature development, from data modelling through UI and API design, ensuring high performance and reliability for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new features covering database schema, backend services, and front‑end components.
• Work with high‑throughput job queues and media processing pipelines for video and image handling.
• Maintain and extend third‑party social‑media API integrations, building monitoring tools to detect silent changes.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in code reviews.
• Ensure robust error tracking, tracing, and performance monitoring in production.

Required profile

• Strong focus on user experience and reliability; understands the impact of outages on API‑first services.
• Experience with high‑load systems: indexing, caching, selective denormalisation, and queue management.
• Proven track record integrating with external APIs that generate large request volumes.
• Commitment to clean code, avoiding temporary hacks, and explaining technical choices.
