Project Engineer – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our European project delivery team in Berlin. You will support the delivery of utility‑scale energy management, battery storage and hybrid PV‑plus‑BESS projects across Europe, working closely with senior engineers and project managers.

Key responsibilities

• Support and execute project delivery for EMS, BESS and hybrid PV+BESS projects under senior guidance.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation such as circuit diagrams, network topologies, interface specifications and configuration sheets.
• Design communication network architectures, including VLAN configuration, managed switch parameterisation and fibre‑optic connectivity plans.
• Assist with cybersecurity tasks – firewall rule review, VPN/remote‑access setup and documentation of OT network security.
• Configure monitoring, SCADA and EMS platforms (PowerTrack, Edge EMS, Edge UI/HMI) to meet project specifications.
• Set up EMS and PPC parameters – signal mapping, set‑points, reactive‑power curves and energy‑management profiles.
• Coordinate with internal engineering, product and support teams as well as external customers and EPCs to track progress and resolve open items.
• Support commissioning activities, including pre‑commissioning checks and communication testing.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in renewable‑energy projects, SCADA, EMS, electrical engineering or automation.
• Strong technical background with ability to work on system configuration, documentation and customer coordination.
• Good communication skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
