Project Manager – Crypto Space Projects

About the role

Oesia Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a high‑impact cryptographic‑space project based in Madrid. The role combines technical authority over secure communications with end‑to‑end project delivery in a hybrid work setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of crypto‑space projects, managing scope, schedule, cost and quality.
• Act as the primary technical authority for cryptographic subsystems in space and ground segments.
• Define, validate and document security architectures, key‑management schemes and crypto‑enabled designs.
• Ensure requirements traceability, verification, validation and qualification activities meet customer and regulatory standards.
• Manage risk, configuration control, change management and overall project governance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across hardware, software, FPGA/SoC and system engineering.
• Serve as the main technical liaison with customers, prime contractors, subcontractors and certification bodies.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in project or program management within multi‑disciplinary engineering environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Aerospace, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
• Formal training in cryptography or cybersecurity.
• Proven leadership as Project Lead, Program Manager, Chief Engineer or Product Owner.
• Experience with space systems (LEO/MEO/GEO), ground segment or protected tactical communications is a strong plus.
