Senior Legal and Compliance Officer – Europe

About the role

Join Panasonic’s European Legal and Compliance team as a Senior Legal and Compliance Officer. You will support Panasonic units across the EMEA region, reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer in Brussels, and work from any of Panasonic Europe’s offices.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor legal developments across the EU and assess their impact on compliance, especially in sustainability, AI, cybersecurity and other emerging areas.
• Conduct risk assessments, design policies, processes and contractual templates to ensure compliance with new legislation.
• Provide advice and guidance to Panasonic entities on sustainability, digital topics and other legal risks.
• Assist local entities with legal assessments of inquiries from customers, suppliers, NGOs and authorities.
• Develop and deliver communication and training programs on relevant compliance matters.
• Support and conduct compliance investigations as needed.

Required profile

• Fully qualified lawyer (m/f/d) with an above‑average degree in an EU jurisdiction or the UK.
• Legal qualification recognized in the EU or UK is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of sustainability law, digital regulation and emerging legal risks.
