Senior Legal & Compliance Officer – Europe

About the role

Panasonic’s European Legal and Compliance team is seeking a Senior Legal & Compliance Officer to support all Panasonic units across the EMEA region. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer in Brussels, you will work from one of Panasonic Europe’s offices and collaborate closely with legal, compliance, and business teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor legal developments across the EU and assess their impact on compliance, especially in sustainability, AI, cybersecurity and other emerging areas.
• Design policies, processes, contractual templates and guidance to ensure compliance with sustainability‑related laws, digital regulations and new legislation.
• Provide advice to Panasonic entities on sustainability, digital topics and emerging legal risks.
• Assist local entities with legal assessments of inquiries from customers, suppliers, NGOs and governmental authorities.
• Develop and deliver internal communications, training and awareness programs on relevant compliance matters.
• Support and conduct compliance investigations as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer (m/f/d) with a degree recognized in an EU jurisdiction or the UK.
• Strong understanding of EU sustainability legislation, digital regulations and emerging compliance risks.
• Experience working in a multinational environment and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, communication and advisory skills.
