System Administrator – IT Operations / System Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive System Administrator to ensure the reliable operation of our IT infrastructure. You will be the main point of contact for user support and will drive the rollout of new systems, applications, and services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day operation of servers, client devices, networks and cloud services.
• Provide first‑line support, manage patches, updates, error analysis and troubleshooting.
• Plan and execute system rollouts, including time‑resource planning, risk assessment and coordination of test, go‑live and hyper‑care phases.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external service providers, acting as the bridge between technology and the organization.
• Contribute to the strategic development and modernization of the IT landscape.

Required profile

• Proven experience administering macOS, Windows 11 and Linux servers.
• Solid understanding of virtualization and container platforms such as Proxmox, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Basic knowledge of networking components (routers, switches, VPNs).
• Experience with identity and access management tools (e.g., JumpCloud).
• Initial automation/scripting experience using Python, Shell/Bash, JavaScript, Ansible or Jenkins.
• Strong analytical, structured and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent German and English communication skills.
