Tax Manager – Corporate & Indirect Tax

About the role

HOLY is looking for a pragmatic, business‑focused Tax Manager to own tax matters across the group and enable rapid expansion into new markets. You will translate complex tax requirements into clear guidance, ensuring compliance while supporting bold, high‑speed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day tax obligations (VAT, corporate income tax, trade tax) in close partnership with Accounting and Legal.
• Lead VAT and indirect tax processes, including registrations, periodic returns, reconciliations and continuous improvement of data quality.
• Coordinate filing deadlines with internal stakeholders and external advisors, guaranteeing accurate and timely submissions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close with tax provisions and audit‑ready documentation.
• Act as a proactive business partner, assessing tax implications of new initiatives, contracts, promotions and market entries.
• Develop scalable tax processes, documentation standards, templates and tools to enable self‑service where appropriate.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate them into practical guidance, training and process updates.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, structured problem‑solver who views tax as a growth enabler.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced environment with strong ownership and clear communication.
• Excellent German and English communication skills.
• Degree in tax, finance, law or comparable qualification; Steuerberater qualification is a strong plus.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant tax experience.
