Terminal Engineer – LNG Terminal Wilhelmshaven

About the role

Gasfin is seeking a Terminal Engineer to support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. You will work closely with the Terminal Manager and a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuous, compliant terminal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Terminal Manager in day‑to‑day terminal operations.
• Develop and implement the integrated operation and maintenance plan.
• Coordinate daily processes, including permit‑to‑work, maintenance activities and external services.
• Act as the main interface between internal departments and operational partners.
• Ensure compliance with safety, emergency, environmental and legal regulations.
• Conduct audits, inspections and safety checks; support incident investigations.
• Represent the Terminal Manager during absences.
• Prepare reports and manage technical documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in terminal operations or 5 years in the chemical/energy process industry.
• In‑depth knowledge of process safety, preferably in LNG or natural gas.
• Familiarity with safety and quality management systems (ISO, IMO, SIGTTO).
• Project‑management knowledge is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
