Finance Analyst

About the role

Knowunity is building the future of learning and needs a Finance Analyst to act as the right‑hand to the Director of Finance & People. You will work directly with the Director and the founders, providing strategic support and hands‑on execution across finance operations, reporting, automation and cross‑functional projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Director by preparing decision briefs, running cross‑functional initiatives and ensuring finance processes run smoothly.
• Own monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and coordinate with external auditors.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, liquidity management and produce monthly reporting and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Identify and implement AI‑driven automation for manual finance workflows using low‑code platforms and smart integrations.
• Assist with financial modeling for growth projects and act as a sparring partner for management decisions.
• Manage relationships with tax advisors, auditors and legal providers across multiple jurisdictions.
• Help design a digital finance backbone, including dashboards, predictive KPIs and foundations for scalable ERP and treasury systems.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of finance experience in a Big 4 advisory firm, a high‑growth startup, or both.
• Degree from a top‑tier university in business, finance or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel capabilities.
• Comfortable using AI tools daily and eager to automate finance workflows.
• Familiarity with German accounting practices and international standards.
