Freelance DevOps Engineer – Remote (3‑6 months)

About the role

We are partnering with an innovative defence‑tech startup based in Germany to hire a freelance DevOps Engineer. The role is fully remote and focuses on building and maintaining scalable CI/CD pipelines, managing Kubernetes and Docker environments, and supporting software deployment across connected IoT and embedded Linux devices on Google Cloud Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines for cloud and edge deployments.
• Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters and Docker container workloads.
• Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot applications on GCP and embedded Linux devices.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure reliability and performance of connected systems.
• Provide automation and infrastructure‑as‑code solutions for cloud and IoT environments.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven expertise in container orchestration (Kubernetes) and containerisation (Docker).
• Background working with IoT or embedded Linux devices.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
