Junior Field Engineer / Robot Operator (Airport Deployment)

About the role

This entry‑level position is based at Frankfurt Airport and focuses on operating and performing first‑line maintenance of an autonomous robotic platform used for facility monitoring. You will act as the on‑site eyes and ears, ensuring the robot runs smoothly and that any detected anomalies are correctly logged and escalated.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily start‑up, calibration and shutdown procedures for the robot.
• Monitor patrol routes in real time and verify coverage.
• Inspect alerts generated by the robot, confirming issues such as spills, broken furniture or screen outages.
• Perform basic hardware support: clear sensor obstructions, check wheels, swap batteries and manage charging dock connections.
• Log confirmed findings with descriptions and photos in the ticketing system and escalate complex failures.
• Keep the robot clean and ensure its operation does not block passenger walkways or emergency routes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field, or a recognized technical diploma.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged; academic projects or internships with hardware exposure are a plus.
• Strong hardware aptitude and comfort handling mechanical components.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract (3 months, extendable)
