Junior Group Accountant – Renewable Energy Leader

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Group Accountant to join our finance team in Berlin or Dresden. The role supports the group accounting function of a leading renewable energy company, preparing financial statements and ensuring accurate reporting under HGB and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages in accordance with HGB and IFRS.
• Coordinate and support the group‑wide monthly reporting process.
• Reconcile and account for group and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and support reporting outputs together with the Controlling team.
• Communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders across the Group and external partners such as auditors or service providers.
• Maintain and improve processes and standards within the Group Accounting function.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc projects and day‑to‑day finance activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or a commercial qualification with relevant accounting exposure.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Basic understanding of financial accounting principles; exposure to IFRS or HGB is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a structured finance environment.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Proactive, adaptable and collaborative mindset.
• Fluency in English and German.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with SAP (advantageous).
• Familiarity with LucaNet or similar reporting systems (advantageous).
