Senior Facilities Manager – Commercial Real Estate

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to lead the operational and technical performance of a flagship commercial property portfolio in Berlin. You will act as the central coordination point between tenants, contractors and internal stakeholders, ensuring premium workplace environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day facility operations across a high‑profile commercial asset.
• Maintain operational stability of technical building systems, including MEP, BMS, life‑safety and energy‑related infrastructure.
• Lead outsourced FM providers and specialist contractors to meet service standards.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, implementing long‑term preventative solutions.
• Monitor health & safety legislation compliance and ensure statutory requirements are met.
• Oversee planned preventative maintenance programmes and reactive maintenance activities.
• Support budgeting, cost‑control initiatives and contractor performance management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with occupiers, service partners and wider stakeholder groups.

Required profile

• Degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering or related discipline (beneficial).
• Strong understanding of technical building operations, especially MEP systems and commercial building infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing external contractors and service providers.
• In‑depth knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience in commercial real estate, premium office environments or mixed‑use developments preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
• Fluent in German and English (professional working proficiency required).
• Several years of experience in Facilities Management, Building Operations or Technical Property environments.
