Team Lead – Operations (Temporary)

About the role

Swappie is looking for a temporary Team Lead to steer its Leipzig Operations through the high‑volume peak season and support the rollout of a new fulfillment strategy. This hands‑on position combines leadership with day‑to‑day warehouse management, ensuring a smooth flow of refurbished electronics to European customers while contributing to environmental sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of warehouse staff in light‑goods handling within a modern facility.
• Set and monitor shift and team targets, allocate resources, and resolve bottlenecks.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews, onboard new employees, and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with working‑time regulations, safety standards (including 6S), and report key results to management.
• Collaborate with planning teams to prepare for peak periods and support compliance audits.
• Address team feedback, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive work environment.

Required profile

• Proven leadership or mentoring experience, preferably in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
• Ability to take ownership and make independent decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; functional German skills sufficient for site operations.
