Engineering Manager, Product Engineering

About the role

As Engineering Manager for Product Engineering at Secfix you will start by shipping a meaningful feature, then build and own the hiring process, and finally coach the engineers to improve performance, all while staying close to product development.

Key responsibilities

• Write high‑quality code and deliver a feature in the first month (70‑80% of time).
• Design and run a consistent technical interview process, creating challenges and screens to support rapid team growth.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, define measurable performance metrics, and remove obstacles for top performers.
• Own system design for major projects, write specs, align architecture, and drive production delivery.
• Scale the product for mid‑market customers, adding RBAC, sub‑workspace collaboration, and new control layers.

Required profile

• Strong individual contributor with recent hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and improve a small engineering team.
• People‑first mindset: knows each team member’s strengths and can act quickly to unblock them.
• Comfortable working remotely in the CET/CEST time zone, with Munich as a preferred hub.
