Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

About the role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at comstruct you are the technical face of the company, turning signed deals into live, working systems for customers. You will scope ERP and supplier integrations, ensure data flows reliably, and spend time on construction sites and in customer meetings to drive projects from proof‑of‑value to full rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Own the proof‑of‑value implementation and scale it into a full rollout across construction sites.
• Integrate customers’ ERP systems, designing architecture and building reliable data pipelines.
• Onboard suppliers onto the comstruct platform, converting delivery notes and invoices into structured digital data.
• Conduct on‑site onboarding, working directly with construction teams to ensure the solution operates in real environments.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in solution engineering, implementation, product or software engineering, with coding in React, TypeScript or SQL.
• Track record of owning a technical project from scoping to successful go‑live with direct customer interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple parallel projects and communicate technical concepts clearly on‑site.
• Willingness to work five days a week from the Munich office with occasional travel.
• Native German speaker and fluent in English.
