IT Operations Manager

About the role

Being part of a larger European team, the IT Operations Manager is responsible for all IT operations in Germany, Italy and expansion sites. Together with the On‑Site Support team, you will serve all employees and ensure a great IT experience and service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage local IT infrastructure services and the On‑Site Support engineers across Germany, Italy and other European locations.
• Monitor IT performance, service impact, print costs and ticket SLA compliance.
• Lead new‑joiner induction kits, end‑user training and alignment with the German Workers Council on IT topics.
• Handle OPEX budgeting for IT services and equipment, and manage vendors delivering IT services.
• Drive IT improvement projects, maintain operational integrity and approve go‑live and P2BAU releases.
• Assess high‑severity incidents, coordinate root‑cause analysis and implement problem‑management improvements.
• Provide escalation support to remote site engineers and act as Product Owner for local and European initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong service mindset with ownership and the ability to influence senior leadership.
• Excellent communication skills in English and native‑level German (C1 or above).
• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, including work with outsourced service models and cross‑geography teams.
• Flexibility to work outside core hours for major incident resolution and frequent travel between sites.
