Accounting Manager (m/f/d)

About the role

As an Accounting Manager at Westwing’s Munich headquarters, you will ensure compliance across our international operations, driving financial data integrity and optimizing global accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounting and monthly closing for all global legal entities, complying with HGB and IFRS.
• Maintain data integrity and reconcile sub‑ledgers, balance‑sheet positions and intercompany balances.
• Review and analyse Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flow statements, performing variance analyses.
• Provide accurate financial data to the internal tax team for VAT and statutory reporting.
• Prepare timely financial statements and notes for each legal entity.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline, digitise and structure accounting workflows and ERP data interfaces.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during annual and interim audits.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
• 3+ years of hands‑on corporate accounting experience, preferably in an international listed company or a reputable audit firm.
• Strong knowledge of dual‑framework accounting (HGB and IFRS).
• Fluent in German and English with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with modern ERP systems; Microsoft Business Central is a plus.
• Solid understanding of HGB and IFRS accounting standards.
