Analytics Engineer

About the role

Almedia is looking for an Analytics Engineer to join its fast‑growing Berlin team. You will be responsible for keeping the company’s data clean, accessible, and ready for self‑service analytics, reporting, and business intelligence across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performance‑optimised data models using SQL and dbt.
• Apply software‑engineering best practices to analytics code, including version control, testing, and CI/CD.
• Automate data validation, testing, and reporting pipelines.
• Own data analysis for a specific domain and collaborate with product analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
• Monitor data integrity, troubleshoot issues, and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain comprehensive data documentation and definitions.
• Train business users on the data platform and visualisation tools.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, or a similar role.
• Experience in marketing analytics with strong SQL and Python skills.
• Solid understanding of data‑warehousing concepts, data modelling, and performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with data validation, testing frameworks, and Git version control.
• Experience with modern data stacks (dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Dagster, Airflow) and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
• Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to diverse audiences.
