Audit Specialist – Insurance & Operations

About the role

We are looking for an Audit Specialist to lead and execute audits across our insurance business and operations, with a strong emphasis on international entities within the Group. You will assess internal control effectiveness, analyse complex processes and support continuous improvement through innovative audit techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute audits in insurance business and operations, focusing on international entities.
• Assess and evaluate internal control systems in line with IIA standards.
• Analyse complex processes such as product development, underwriting, claims handling, and HR.
• Advise audited departments and follow up on recommendations and action plans.
• Contribute to innovative audit methods, including data analytics and AI.
• Collaborate with senior executives, board members and international colleagues.
• Participate in regular business travel abroad.

Required profile

• Degree in business administration, economics, mathematics or a related field.
• Professional audit certification (e.g., CIA) is a plus.
• Several years of audit experience, preferably in insurance operations and regulatory environments.
• Strong analytical and structured thinking abilities.
• International mindset with openness to new perspectives and willingness to travel.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German or other languages are an advantage.
